I don’t care if we never have a woman President.
There I said it.
I’ve been a feminist all my life.
I’ve been angry at men. I’m still angry at some men. Women have a right to be angry.
But there is a school of feminism that I cannot be a part of.
And that is feminism that thinks of equality only in terms of the system we live in.
And that we have to ‘play the game’.
I have a more radical dream.
A dream where the entire system is rebuilt.
And where constitutions are completely rewritten by women and men that believe in circles, councils and equal balance of power in all things.
I dream of elected councils with no hierarchy.
Councils that are elected using public funds.
Councils within councils.
No political parties.
No donation drives.
No corporate peoplehood.
Term limits of eight years on ALL council positions.
One person one vote for all positions.
Only representatives of the people.
The older I get the more I realize the world doesn’t need women leaders.
We need feminine leadership.
There is a difference.
Female qualities of compassion, emotion, peace and awareness of the cycles of life.
Yes I’m a dreamer.
And what’s wrong with that?
We need to dance together and stop the crap.
Women ‘leaders’ that ‘play the game’ have been deeply disappointing to me.
So no, I will never vote for a woman just because she’s a woman.
I would rather come together with my sisters to change the whole system.
